Connecting Your Telegram Bot via BotFather

Why you need a Telegram bot

The bot is the "shell" of your store in Telegram. Customers find the bot, open the mini app via the menu button and place orders. Without a bot the mini app won't open.

Step 1 — Create a bot in BotFather

   Open @BotFather in Telegram

   t.me/BotFather — the official Telegram bot for managing bots.

   Send the /newbot command

   BotFather will ask you to choose a name and username (must end with _bot).

   Copy the token

   BotFather will send a token like 1234567890:AAFxxxx.... Save it — you need it for Ordify.

Step 2 — Paste the token into Ordify

In your account, open the store card → "Store settings" → "Telegram Bot Token" field. Paste the token and click "Save".

Step 3 — Set up the menu button in the bot

To show a button in the bot chat that opens the mini app, configure the Menu Button in BotFather.

   Open @BotFather → /mybots

   Select your bot from the list.

   Bot Settings → Menu Button

   Click Enable and enter a button label, e.g. "Open Store".

   Paste the mini app URL

   Your mini app address: https://slug.ordify.ru (replace slug with yours). Find it in the store card in your account.

   Save

   The button will appear for all users chatting with the bot immediately.

Step 4 — Test

Open your bot in Telegram. A menu button should appear in the bottom left. Tap it — the mini app with your menu will open.
